What is Trailblazer Math?
Trailblazer Math is a Mathematical practice program that is sponsored by the BES PTA. It is designed to help teach responsibility and commitment and have fun practicing math. Different than last year, students will be assigned two to three sheets, once a month. The sheets will be due the following month, and every sheet has the due date listed. The program will last from September, 2019 through March, 2020. We will host our celebration in April this school year.
Similar to last year, each grade will be color-coded. (Kinder – Orange, First – Red, Second – Yellow, Third – Blue and Fourth – Green). Please have your child turn in his/her completed math sheet into the colored boxes, matching the grade level. The boxes are located in the main hallway just outside of the school’s office.
A registration sheet needs to be completed per child participating. These registration forms can be turned into his/or her teacher or placed in the Trailblazer Math box. Please make sure the form is legible with complete email address and phone numbers.

How Does It Work? Each month, starting September 27, 2019, students will be either emailed a copy of the TBM sheets, or they can pick up a hard copy in main hallway outside of the school’s office.
Missing Sheets: If your child missed a TBM sheet because of illness, please email me at the address below. I will email you a copy of the missing sheet. There is no penalty for late sheets this school year, but your child will not participate in that month’s drawing.
Grading Disagreements: If you feel an error has been made in the grading of your student’s worksheet, please let me know. I would be glad to review the grade against the grade sheet key. If there is a discrepancy, I will definitely adjust the grade as needed.
What If We Still Have Questions?
Please Contact: Amanda Riffel via email: trailblazermath@gmail.com
Participation in Trailblazer Math is not required or counted in any way for actual curriculum homework. All sheets need to be turned in no later than March 20, 2020.
We are looking forward to another great year of Trailblazer Math at Bluebonnet.
Sincerely, Amanda Riffel TBM PTA Chair
